Ramona Trails Mission:
Since its founding in 1984, Ramona Trails Association has been actively involved in the planning of the community of Ramona, California, in San Diego County. RTA is a non-profit 501(c)3 community service corporation, staffed entirely of volunteers and financed by membership dues, fund raising events and donations.

Its mission has been to retain access to and maintain existing non-motorized, multi-use trails in this rural area as well as actively encouraging new trail development on both public and private lands. RTA's members work closely with Federal, State and local government agencies as well as numerous other volunteer organizations such as Backcountry Horsemen of California San Diego Unit and Caballeros del Sol Unit, San Diego County Trails Council and San Dieguito River Park. Recreational trails provide for a significant part of the outdoor activities available in Southern California, especially as individuals recognize the value to their own physical and emotional well-being. Ramona Trails Association enthusiastically dedicates itself to this cause and welcomes new members and benefactors.
