A Special meeting sponsored by San Diego Mountain Bike Association gathered representatives from several of our local public lands, including City of SD (Mission Trails), Cleveland National Forest, State Parks (Cuyamaca), and County Parks & Open Space Preserves (Mt. Another Eagle Scout Project Completed!
Eagle Scout candidate Greg Boruff of Troup 679 has completed a kiosk at Holly Oaks Park. Here’s a photo of Greg taken by his Scoutmaster Greg Creswell, proudly standing with the finished product. He managed all aspects of planning, construction and labor (his fellow Troup members!), submitting a proposal and estimate to RTA for approval and which RTA then funded. The kiosk will serve to provide community information related to the Park, it’s use and reservation / schedule information for the equestrian arena (constructed by RTA members and the only public arena in Ramona).
